INJURY RISK

2021:

Long-Term:

2/5

3/5

Bottom Line:
Ridley is coming off of foot surgery, and is projected to return at the start of training camp. Full return to peak levels without any major concerns is expected, but this does raise Ridley’s risk for the long-term picture.

Major Injuries:
2021 (offseason) - foot surgery; no missed time
2019- Abdominal Injury; Mmssed 3 games.

Games Played:
2020 - 15/16
2019- 13/16
2018- 16/16

Performance:
Ridley’s surgery was reportedly a “cleanup” of the foot/ankle, which suggests an arthroscopic procedure with good return to play results. Expect a full strength Ridley to start the season.

Durability:
The concern is that these “cleanup” procedures are often done to treat lingering issues related to cartilage injury or another issue inside a joint. Even though it was reported as minor, athletes like Ridley don’t have surgery unless something is causing symptoms. As a result, his long-term risk increases to moderate, but his short-term is only mildly elevated.
